On January 20, we honor the defenders of the Donetsk airport.
At the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Donetsk airport became a symbol of the indomitability and heroism of our soldiers and volunteers.
Ukrainian defenders firmly held the defense of DAP for 242 days, from May 2014 to January 2015.
"Cyborgs" - that's what the defenders were called for their stability and endurance. They withstood the onslaught of the enemy, but the concrete did not.
In the battles for the Donetsk airport, 109 Ukrainian heroes died and more than 400 defenders were injured.
